Floor plans which are developed in the
preconstruction stage are very important for representing the details of a
building floor. Floor plans are
generally developed by architects, by
utilizing two primary building dimensions which include length and
breadth. To make it more clear let me tell you that floor plans can be
developed in 2D and 3D as well. The concept of 3D floor plan is quite new in
Architecture Engineering and Construction industry.
Earlier, only 2D floor plans were common among
construction industry professionals but they used to look quite dull in terms
of their visual impacts. The main purpose of developing a floor plan is to show
the exact position of doors, windows, stairs and various rooms etc. 2D floor plans largely include signs and
symbols to show the position of things like doors, windows and stairs etc. But
architectural signs and symbols cannot be understood by common people and hence
they are not considered that appropriate to communicate the design of the floor
to the clients.
On the other hand 3D floor plans are a great source
for communicating the design of a floor to the clients. In these plans everything
is shown clearly, for example no signs and symbols are used to represent the
elements of the floor, for example to show the position of a door, a door is
created in the model. In other words, 3D floor plans help in showing the entire
floor in a very realistic manner.
Rendering Services can also be executed for 3D floor plans to make them
photorealistic. Rendered floor plan is considered as a best way or source by
the architectural industry to communicate or describe the design of a building
floor to the clients. A photorealistic view of the building floor is provided
with its assistance. Each room is shown with relevant furniture and objects
which helps in differentiating it from others. For example, bedroom is equipped
with bedroom furniture such as double bed, and living room is shown with
furniture like sofa set etc.
So clients get a clear picture of a floor by looking
at the floor plan images or models.
